Payment transactions may be processed by third-party payment processors, including GiveSmart and other service providers. TASK does not intend to store complete credit card numbers or card security codes on its own systems when payments are processed by a third-party payment provider.

When registering an individual for a TASK program, camp, event, or activity, we may collect information necessary to safely and effectively provide our services. This may include participant information, parent or guardian information, emergency contact information, demographic information, accommodation needs, and other information relevant to participation.

Depending on the program and registration process, some information provided to TASK may include sensitive information. TASK uses this information for legitimate program, safety, administrative, and operational purposes.

Volunteer Information

  • Facebook/Meta, Instagram, and LinkedIn for social-media communications, community engagement, program and event promotion, and fundraising;
  • Hootsuite for managing, scheduling, publishing, and analyzing social-media content;
  • Constant Contact for email marketing, newsletters, announcements, fundraising communications, and management of email subscriber lists and preferences;
  • GiveSmart for donations, event registrations, fundraising, and related transactions;
  • Venmo as a payment option for certain donations or transactions; and
  • Raptor for visitor management, check-in, safety, and security purposes.

This is not an exhaustive list. TASK may add, discontinue, replace, or change third-party service providers and technologies from time to time based on the operational needs of the organization.

Depending on the service and how TASK uses it, third-party providers may collect or process information such as IP addresses, browser or device information, website activity, interactions with website or social-media content, email addresses, communication preferences, contact and registration information, payment or transaction-related information, and visitor or check-in information.

Not every third-party service uses cookies or collects website-tracking information. The type of information collected or processed varies depending on the particular service and how TASK uses it.

Information processed by third-party providers may also be subject to those providers’ privacy policies, terms, and security practices. TASK selects and uses third-party providers for legitimate organizational purposes but does not control their independent privacy practices.

Most web browsers allow users to control or disable cookies through browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of portions of the TASK website or third-party services.

7. Children's and Participant Privacy

TASK provides programs and services for individuals with special needs, including children.

TASK takes the privacy of children and program participants seriously.

When information about a minor is required for registration or participation in a TASK program, camp, event, or activity, TASK expects that information to be provided by, or with the authorization of, the minor’s parent or legal guardian when required.

Certain administrative or transactional communications may still be necessary even if you unsubscribe from promotional communications. For example, TASK may need to contact you regarding a program registration, donation, event, payment, or other existing relationship with TASK.

If you voluntarily provide your mobile telephone number and consent to receive text messages from TASK, we may send informational, transactional, and, where permitted, promotional messages.

Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply.

Consent to receive promotional text messages is not required as a condition of purchasing, donating, registering for a TASK program, or receiving TASK services unless otherwise permitted by law.

You may opt out of promotional text messages at any time by replying STOP to a TASK text message or by communicating your request to TASK through another reasonable method. You may reply HELP for assistance.

TASK may send a confirmation message acknowledging an opt-out request.

If your telephone number changes or you are no longer the authorized user of a number you provided to TASK, please notify us.

TASK may use third-party service providers to deliver text messages. Your information may be provided to those companies as necessary to operate the messaging service.
